Item Description
1.25” button has covered tin back with vertical pin. There is no maker name. Button is totally clean except for three virtual pinpoint dots on upper left edge. The cream-colored celluloid covering has rather extensive craze lines which show but they are just a little noticeable to the touch and celluloid largely lays flat. Button still retains total high gloss. The Kid holds a pair of bicycle handlebars in his hands and his nightshirt reads “Say I Wont/Do A Ting But/Ride De ‘Acme’/Handle-Bar/Wid/’Wood Tipped Grips’.” Below is exceedingly tiny text “Copyright 1896” with larger text of company name “U.S. Bentwood Co./Springfield. Mass./U.S.A.” Exceedingly rare. We know of only one other example.
