Item Description
2.25x2.75x4.5” tall. Originally issued c. mid to late 1930s. Hinged door on wood outhouse has printed “Occupied” sign plus printed text “The Lost W.P.A. Worker/Warning To Hunters/Don’t Shoot Until It Moves/It Might Be A W.P.A. Worker.” Crescent moon design appears toward door top. Lettering pressed into wood of right side panel reads “Souvenir Of St. Louis Mo./1941.” We’ve seen 2 other versions, one featuring the interior back panel with an illustration of seated skeleton with accents at right of toilet paper on roll and the other had pipe cleaner arms and legs with a wood bead head. This variation has white pipe cleaner arms and legs with 2 sizes of nuts to represent the head and torso. Painted white with black accents representing the face and ribcage of a skeleton. Outhouse lightly aged. Displays VF.
