Item Description
4x5.75” with 96 pages of song lyrics. This is a 1936 (26th edition) sold for 10¢ published by the Industrial Workers of the World with Chicago address. Long ago the red cover became wet (likely from use in the rain as we’ve seen before with these books) and put light red stain on 20% of the title page and last page plus a couple small and minor marks on the outer cover. Still Fine and with solid binding, although some small stains in gutter on most pages from staple rust. In addition to Joe Hill (who is credited with many song lyrics) are photos of Wesley Everest (“Murdered 1919 By Lumber Trust”) and Frank H. Little (Lynched Butte, Montana 8-1-17). A labor classic from the dark days of economic depression. See IWW lapel stud #372.
