Item Description
2.75x8x5.5" tall tin litho truck comes in box w/nicely illustrated lid. 1950s marked "Made In Japan." The plain box bottom has a large moisture stain, some inking and 1" tear. Lid has lt. aging w/inked name at top center, a few other minor ink/pencil marks which blend. Fine. Attached to the flatbed truck is a 4.5" tall elephant figure and drum, elephant holds a pair of drumsticks. Cab doors ahve separate oval tin "Band Wagon" attachments. Has working friction mechanism and as truck travels forward, the elephant's arms move and it plays the drum. N. Mint. Great design and a matching donkey "Band Wagon" truck was also produced.
