Item Description
8.5x11”. 36 pages. This was an AAFC (All American Football Conference) game. The Conference was a professional American Football League that challenged the established National Football League from 1946 to 1949. This program is from the second year. However, the AAFC was ultimately unable to sustain itself in competition with the NFL. Three of its teams were admitted to the NFL: San Francisco 49er’s, Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Colts. One back page features specialty Colts cartoons by Al Capp and Ham Fischer featuring Li’l Abner and Joe Palooka. General aging and trace of staple rust. Green accent cover remains bright. VF. Scarce.
