9.5x11” dia. pressed wool Miller Bros. hat with high quality fabric ribbon. Leather brim has “Official Dick Tracy Hat” text and police shield-shaped “Official Member Dick Tracy Detective Club” patch/tag on underside of hat showing nice profile portrait of Dick Tracy. c. 1940s. Scattered aging and lt. wear. VF+. Rare blue color, typically found in gray or brown. Comes with 7/8” tall brass die-cut figural tab depicting Dick Tracy in his trademark hat and jacket with turned up collar. Upper tab has been folded over to allow piece to clip onto hat band. “Dick Tracy Detective Club” text appears at bottom. 1942. Color portions of tab show moderate wear with “Club” text being partially illegible. Fine-.
