Item Description
4x6x4” deep display box contains 9.75” tall puppet by National Mask and Puppet Corporation. c. early 1950s. ©TLR. Box shows other puppets produced by National Mask and Puppet including Popeye, Olive Oyl, Wimpy, Al Jolson, Milton Berle, Joe Palooka, Humphrey, The Great Foodini, Jolo, Pinhead and Mr. Pitch. Box shows heavy wear with numerous creases and two 1” tears to front top and bottom corners. Just Good but box is rarely seen. Puppet has cloth body with felt hands and attached belt. Rubber head has hardened with age but retains its shape nicely. St. aging but about as nice as these come. VF+.
