Item Description
34” long c. 1950s Marx rifle has metal over/under style barrel, simulated wood plastic stock, cast aluminum cap mechanism. Comes in original 38” cardboard sleeve designed as rifle case. Sleeve has nice art images of Lone Ranger on Silver as well as profile portrait pictures of Lone Ranger and Tonto, official Lone Ranger seal of horseshoe with Lone Ranger and Tonto portraits, silver bullet and Silver portrait within, all topped with Lone Ranger mask. One side of sleeve has repair to 4” tear and “E RA” of “THE LONE RANGER” text appears to have been re-painted. Heavy and obvious wear with creases and tears. 3.5x5” tip of case has been re-attached with tape on interior. Good. Scarce as these were easily damaged by rifle. “The Lone Ranger” facsimile signature and ©TLR text on stock. Rifle shows slightest trace of wear. Cap mechanism is bright and rifle is unfired. Simulated metal work above trigger is detailed with 2 horses on one side, a deer on the other side and scope/sight on top. Exc.
