Item Description
18” tall painted hollow plaster. Has the look and design of a 1940s carnival statue, but most likely c. 1966 carnival chalkware prize. Incised “Mexico” on underside of base. Coin slot on back of cape, bank is missing generic trap. Nice large depiction in correct colors of Batman’s teen sidekick Robin. Vibrant colors. A similar figure is shown on page 75 of “Batman Collected” by Chip Kidd. Some small scattered paint wear but structurally sound and VF. Rare and first we’ve seen.
