11.25x22.5x2” deep box contains Milton Bradley game #4907. ©1937. 21.75x22” gameboard has “Offices Of Charlie Chan Inspector Of Police” center with various city establishments. Game appears to be played similar to that of Clue. Instruction folder included with 9 “Crime” cards, 35 “Go” cards and 64 “Evidence” cards. Game included 200 tiny painted counters in 4 colors, missing only 3. Dice and wooden player pieces as well as cardboard dice cup included. Contents VF/Exc. overall. Gameboard has nice image of Charlie Chan entering apartment that shows signs of a struggle. “The Great Charlie Chan Detective Mystery Game” is founded upon the world famous character of Charlie Chan, created by Earl Derr Biggers, appearing in ‘The House Without A Key, The Chinese Parrot, Behind That Curtain, The Black Camel, Charlie Chan Carries On, The Keeper Of The Keys’ (Serialized In The Saturday Evening Post And Published In Book Form By The Bobbs-Merrill Co.) And The Use Of The Character By The Milton Bradley Co. Is By Special Arrangement With The Owner Of The Various Copyrights.” Box lid has edge/corner tip wear and one corner split as well as moderate aging to lid label. VG/Fine. Scarce.
