4x7.5” Jan. 6, 1944 postmarked envelope has been roughly sliced open at top and contains typed and signed letter from Army private that interviewed Rose LaRose. This was none other than Harry Reasoner, famous journalist who went on to become a founder of 60 Minutes tv program.  He discusses planning a stag party and securing her as a guest star. Letter is dated Jan. 5, 1944. Lightly aged and folded as issued. VF. Rest of lot is c. late 1940s-1950s. Includes 5.5x8.5” glossy bw paper ad proof showing bw photo of “Queen Of Burlesque” Rose LaRose and noting her “First Appearance In Detroit” at the Gayety Burlesk. Three horizontal folds. VG+. Trio of 6x9” handbills for her appearance at Minsky’s Maryland Theatre, all being same date. Three horizontal folds. Fine-. Seven 5.5x8.5” four-page handbill/folders for her appearance at The Old Howard Burlesque House in MA. All are from different weeks and feature her as headliner. Scattered aging and handling wear, one has red pencil marks. VG/Fine overall. An interesting lot from the “Queen Of Burlesk.”
