10.5” tall glazed ceramic cookie jar with attached 2.5” long corncob pipe at hole in mouth as produced. c. 1950s. American Bisque Co. Back of Popeye’s collar has glaze run from before firing. Exterior rim of lid has tiny 1/8” small chip to glaze but when lid is on this is not visible. Interior rim of lid has factory flaw but again not visible unless lid is taken off. Cookie jar has some small scattered craze lines by Popeye’s eye and on hat but is not offensive. Displays Exc. This scarce item is listed in the Cookie Jar Book by Supnick at $1100.00.
