Item Description
22.5X29.25”. ©1919 National War Garden Commission. Text at bottom “Every War Garden A Peace Plant/National War Garden Commission/Charles Lathrop Pack, President/Washington, D.C.” Artist was a children’s book illustrator and graphic artist. Younger sister of Frank Lloyd Wright. Delightful illustration of patriotic gardener marching with potatoes, carrots and pumpkins each with smiling faces. Poster has 5” vertical tear at top center with archival tape on reverse and small touch up on front to help line blend. Top white margin has noticeable, but light tan spots widely scattered and only a couple into the yellow bkg. About 85% of poster is totally clean with great color and design. Fine.
