8.5x11.5” double-sided herald on glossy pulp paper. Herald for the 1949 Universal-International horror comedy starring Bud Abbott and Lou Costello in a whodunit-style thriller which focused on horror icon Boris Karloff as an evil swami. Front side of herald advertises “Guns! Ghouls! Gags! And Gals!” and shows looming image of Karloff over top caricature image of Abbott and Costello, each shown with photo heads on cartoon bodies. Trio of dangerous-looking women, 2 holding knives and 1 holding gun at right. Reverse of herald has repeat images of Abbott and Costello with cartoon bodies and photo heads running from Karloff’s hands. Eros Theater imprint is dated Jan. 27, 1950 and reads “Bud And Lou Are On The Loose Again! And Their Adventures With The Killer Provide More Fun Than When They Met Frankenstein!” Herald has evenly aged and is Exc.
