Item Description
Lot consists of two 6.75x9.5" hardcover volumes which were published Feb.-Nov. 1943 and Feb. 1944-Feb. 1945. The first volume collects four pulps and the second volume has five. These pulps were published quarterly by Better Publications Inc. This lot contains Vol. 4 #2-3, Vol. 5 #1-2, Vol. 5 #3, Vol. 6 #1-3, Vol. 7 #1. Pulps deal w/various stories of air warfare and cover images (second collection has two covers by Rudolph Belarski) of many different types of planes involved in dogfights and air raids. Interesting cover depicts gunner w/advancing skeleton behind him wearing aviator's cap and goggles. Cover overlaps have been trimmed as these books are bound in hardcover collections. Pages are off-white w/cream margins, margins are somewhat brittle. Pages are tight and complete. Spine to second hardcover has some aging and rubbing but books are VF.
