Item Description
8.5x17x4.5” deep hinged-lid box contains 15” tall American character doll. Doll is not the doll issued with this scarce box which was the first doll before Ricky Jr. was born. 1952. Doll included does function as listed on box - cries tears, wets, blows bubbles. Doll has Real Skin body, arms and legs and sleep eyes. Scattered aging, mostly to arms and legs. Dress has a few stains to it. Fine/VF. Box end has “I Love Lucy Baby” label with heart design showing bw photo of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz holding doll similar to that included. Underside of lid has larger bw photo of Lucy and Desi in heart with separate heart showing illustration of doll. Doll separate cardboard drawer at bottom of box. Box shows moderate wear with side panel of lid missing, lid also has moderate moisture staining and is Good/VG. Scarce box.
