4.5x9x2.25” deep hinged leather case opens to reveal Cordoual French grooming kit, owned personally by American film star Clark Gable. Five-piece (possibly incomplete) kit includes 4” long nail file, 3.5” long scissors, 3” tall cologne bottle (empty) and 6.5” long plastic toothbrush holder with monogrammed “CG” metal lid. Also included is 2.25x3x1-3/8” deep plastic soap case with metal monogrammed “CG” lid also included. Soap dish and toothbrush holder both show aging to plastic components with light oxidation on underside of metal toothbrush holder lid. Rest of set shows wear from use but Fine/VF overall. Kit was originally obtained by stage hand Bill Wilt and comes with Hake’s COA as well as COA from noted autograph auction house R&R Enterprises and letter of authenticity from wife of Bill Wilt.
