Item Description
1.75” with union bug stamp on reverse. Extreme perimeter has just the slightest traces of a few dots of age tone but piece still displays glossy and Exc. In 1940, with war already under way in Europe and the question of U.S. involvement weighing on everyone’s mind, Emerson Radio and Phonograph Co. began producing “The Patriot.” This beautiful radio made of catalin plastic was created by famed industrial designer Norman Bel Geddes. The model retailed for $24.95. The button promotes “The Patriot” concept by picturing an Uncle Sam-style top hat and has additional text “World’s Largest Maker Of Home Radios.” Only example we’ve seen.
