Item Description
3.5” heavy paperweight mirror c. 1920 with name of maker on curl “Cruver Mfg. Co., Chicago.” Wonderful scene of prospector wearing gun belt and with turned-up front brim hat kneeling by his breakfast fire with coffee pot in the foreground and with his flapjack poised mid-air above his frying pan. By his side is a replica of the product canister that includes tiny reproduction of the scene actually shown on this mirror. Bold rim lettering states “Albers Cereals And Flours ‘Look For The Miner.” In 44 years we’ve seen only 2 or 3 other paperweight mirrors that can compete with this one for color and design. Only example we’ve seen. Exc. and displays Mint. See St. Louis Button Co. mirror #509.
