17.5x17.5x1.75” box. c. 1940s. Bold, colorful and bright illustration of Tracy in center. Manufacturer name below. Instructions on back. Box missing one internal flap. Creases along centers of sides. Creased from flattening. Front/back still display Fine with graphic image of Tracy breaking through target with drawn gun. Box holds 17” dia. cardboard “Dick Tracy Target.” Artist signature on bottom edge “Chester Gould Copyright.” Licensed by Famous Artist Syndicate, Inc./Made By Marx. Holed at top as made. Target has warped in storage. Appears glossy/unused. .75” edge wear by artist’s name. Still displays Exc. Comes with original envelope for gun (missing) with illustrated instructions for loading rubber darts. Handling wear to envelope. VG. Also includes two 5” long unused wood darts with out-of-round hardened rubber tips. Darts Fine. Overall still and impressive display.
