Auction #200 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1186 in auction 200
Item Description
Piece stands about 3” tall with celluloid top on black wooden handle joined to metal bottom which has notched wheels to turn 4 different rubber strips mounted with individual segments showing months of the year, various dates and 2 columns for days of the month. A few of the individual numerals and a few of the segments bearing the date are missing with the earliest date still remaining being 1923 and extending to the most recent year of 1930. Overall these rubber pieces are about 80% complete. Metal frame has taken on dark coloration but the wooden handle and most importantly the beautiful celluloid top piece are N. Mint. Celluloid has a mere pinpoint rub on right edge and very slightest trace of a stain dot on the left edge. Curl has maker’s name “J. B. Carroll, Chicago.” Only example we’ve seen. Displays N. Mint.
