Item Description
1.25” with W&H backpaper issued c. 1917. Imprint in gold lettering of famous Philadelphia store with text reading “Strawbridge & Clothier Toy Store.” Bkg. shows troops in uniform lined up awaiting their turn as the foreground shows Santa lifting presents from his gift-laden pack and handing one to a uniformed soldier wearing hat with bed roll strapped over his back and with ammunition pouches at his waist as he stands at attention holding the barrel of his upright rifle. Reverse by the collet has a few 1/16” or less separations in the celluloid but all exceedingly minor. Button is Exc. and displays Mint. See Mickey Mouse as Santa #1230.
