Item Description
1.75” with backpaper by Steiner Co. of St. Louis. Button depicts woman with bare arms and flowing long hair in rather form-fitting dress with movement accent lines around her bare legs. Text on the button reads “The Warm Number/Lemp’s Park Sunday Sep. 18./Talker’s Club Picnic.” Button is very likely from the time of the 1904 St. Louis Exposition. This city park was named after the famous city brewer Lemp. Button came with collection that featured number of St. Louis exposition items assembled at the time of the event. Only example we’ve seen. Exc. and displays Mint.
