Item Description
1.75” with W&H backpaper. Image shows apparent uniformed fireman wearing helmet and holding a long shaft with a flaming torch. The area he is stepping on does not have a great deal of detail but there are additional flame designs portrayed around his legs. Given the title, perhaps this relates to the Spanish-American War victory as Spain signed the armistice August 12, 1898. Text on this button reads “Official Souvenir/Festival Of Fire And Victory Jubilee./Exposition Buillding./Minneapolis, Sept. 5-10, ’98.” Hake book Collectible Pin-Back Buttons photo example Firemen #332. Couple of trivial tiny age traces on the rim but barely noticeable. Exc. and the only example we’ve seen. Comes with Hake’s COA.
