Item Description
Lot of 5. Pair of 2.5” tall brass stickpins each with .5” tall detailed portrait image, one Mutt and the other Jeff. Both show aging/luster loss, Jeff has bend in stickpin. Fine. Next is 7/8” dia. cartoon button featuring art signed by Fisher and title “Take That Noise Outside.” Cigarette issue with “Hassan” backpaper. c. 1912. Exc. Next is 1.25” dia. button featuring full figure images of them with title “Meet Us At Forest Park.” Parisian Novelty Co. c. 1920s. Exc. Final button is 1.25” dia. from series of 3 that also included Joe Palooka and Li’l Abner. Portrait images with text “Sunday Bulletin Tangle Comics.” 1940s. Oxidation to reverse and collet but button remains glossy and Exc. Philadelphia Badge Co. Nice lot.
