Item Description
Lot of 5. The first 4 have adjustable brass bands with metal attachments. Two are Lone Ranger premiums issued by Kix in 1947. One is Atomic Bomb ring, one of the most popular premium rings ever while the other is the classic Six-Gun Ring. Atomic Bomb Ring has lightning bolt and exploding atom designs on band, top holds bomb-shaped piece with plastic end cap. Trace of luster wear and typical tiny crack in cap. Fine. Six-Gun Ring features saddle design on band. Gun is attached to base with raised “LR.” Missing flint as is typical. Scattered luster wear. Fine. Next is Tom Mix Musical Ring issued by Ralston in 1949. Band has “TM” initials over Ralston checkerboard pattern. Sliding whistle works. Minor wear. VF. Next is Gabby Hayes Cannon Ring issued by Quaker in 1951. Band features image of Quaker Man logo and cereal grains shooting from the mouth of a cannon barrel. Movable cannon mounted to top and has spring-loaded plunger so object can be dropped into the barrel and launched. Bright luster. Exc. Final item is 1951 Popsicle Plastic Boot Ring. Band holds three dimensional cowboy boot designed with both magnifying lens and working compass over the boot top. These swivel to reveal boot interior that is complete with small paper showing letters of the alphabet and symbols representing the “Cowboy Ring Secret Code.” Exc. A nice group, especially for the aspiring premium ring collector.
