Item Description
Lot of two. First is 8.5x10.75" w/36 pages. Beautiful color illustrations printed on one side only telling 12 to 24 panel stories. Title on book reads "Schnaken & Sechnurren Von Wilhelm Busch/II Teil/Munchen, Verlag Von Braun Und Schneiden." All stories involve people w/animals including a poodle, pig, ram, donkey, etc. Age appears to be c. 1900 but no year is indicated. All text is in German. Lt. surface dust and wear to cover but spine is strong and contents are Exc. Second book is 5-3/8x8.25" w/56 pages. Cover reads "Max Und Moritz Eine Bubengelchichte In Lieben Streichen Von Wilhelm Busch." Wonderful color illustrations w/all text in German. Max and Moritz are two little pranksters within the book's storyline. They were the inspiration for the Katzenjammer Kids in America. Cover has slightly darkened w/age but spine is sturdy and contents are Exc. c. 1900.
