Item Description
1-7/8x2x5.75" cardboard box has illustrations of Ignatz on all sides. Text includes "Des And © By Geo. Herriman/Cameo Doll Co., New York, Sole Licensees And Mfrs./Geo. Borgfeldt & Co., New York, Distributors." Both end panels have illustration of Ignatz w/name below. One inner flap is separated but included, 3" split on box lid at hinge. 5" tall mouse has composition head, wood body, fabric-covered wire arms/legs/tail. Paper label across chest reads "Ignatz." Touchup on face. Lable on bottom of foot reads "Des. & © By Geo. Herriman." c. early 1930s. Rare figure, especially w/box. VF. From the Hake collection.
