“Tony Sarg’s Book Of Animals” measures 8-1/8x10.25”. Hardcover with backed pictorial boards. Published by Greenberg in 1925. Story set in Nantucket about 2 children and humanized animals. Color illustrations on every page. Scattered aging along margins which show wear, especially at corners. Fine overall. Pages remain clean and Exc. Scarce Sarg title. “Tony Sarg’s Book For Children” hardcover measures 8.75x11.25” and has die-cut window on front cover. This window allows for use of mechanical wheel function on inside front cover which shows revolving faces for man. 4” and 6” tears at this area. “Where Is Tommy?” sections meant to be cut out are intact and uncut. Great text and full color Sarg art on every page. Published by Greenberg 1924. Book consists of two main sections. First is "Mary & Freckles in Nantucket", a collection of stories of a girl and her dog. Second section "Little Moments in the Lives of Great Men." Deals with historical figures as seen through Sarg's eyes, featuring Napoleon, Demosthenes, Columbus, etc. Several small stories are included such as "Who is Tommy?" Cover shows wear and dust soiling. VG overall with VF pages. Quite scarce title.
