Item Description
Lot includes five 4.75x7" fold-over Bridge pads w/20 pages each. 1920s. Bottom of each page has illustration of comic character w/single panel scene or clever saying. Covers of each are bright color illustrations w/gold luster bkgs. Two of "The Gumps" are duplicates. One features "The Nebbs." All are unused full pads. One of the duplicate Gumps has a moisture mark in upper right corner o/w all appear to be clean, bright, unused and Exc. Also included is 3-3/8" dia. celluloid brush w/2.25" dia. black accent metal rimmed mirror in center surrounded by red accent art of Andy talking to Min. Andy says "Oh Min! Isn't Our Stuart-Built Home Comfortable And Cozy?" Min replies "You Bet, Andy, And Isn't Kendall-Grassmere A Fine Residence Section?" Top text reads "Anything In Real Estate/Kendall And Grassmere/Our Specialty." Bottom reads "This Andy Gump Combination Brush And Mirror Manufactured By Parisian Novelty Co. Chicago, Ill. Sole Licensees/Get Our Service/The C. W. Stuart Realty Company/Massillon, Ohio." Brush stands 1-1/8" tall. Scattered moisture marks and crazing on cello. Lt. oxidation on black painted accent rim of brush portion. Comes w/box that appears to be original. Overall brush is Fine.
