Item Description
7x7-1/8” record sleeve has full color photo of Gorshin as The Riddler. Other side features Gorshin in a more relaxed pose as himself smoking cigarette for “Never Let Her Go” B side. AM Records label. Sleeve has 1/8” hole drilled through it above Gorshin’s head on Riddler side. Ring wear around record area with scattered age spotting and white margins. VG. c. 1966 issue character-driven novelty tune written by Mel Torme and produced by Bread band member David Gates. Sung in character as The Riddler, the tune is hyper-comedy with Gorshin singing cartoony rhymes with a teen girl chorus response. Record also has 1/8” hole to center of label but not affecting grooves at all and o/w record is Exc. This rare picture sleeve is typically found with moderate ring wear as is the case with this example. From the Craig Warren Collection.
