Item Description
Our outstanding example from Auction #199 which realized over $400 pulled another out of the woodwork. 7/8” although missing the backpaper naming button jobber W.F. Miller of NYC. Button is very early and quite possibly from the first year of the park’s opening in 1897. Choice color depicting symbolic character with text promoting “Steeplechase/Funny Place.” The ride was a feature attraction of the park and consisted of a horse race which wound around the Pavilion Of Fun. Cello has extremely slight all-over traces of wear but these show only in reflected light. VF and displays Exc. See following 2 related items.
