2.5x4.75x6" cardboard box w/front and back illustration of Dagwood holding a very large sandwich w/text including "Copr. 1947/King Features Synd. Inc." Box sides and flaps show Blondie and Dagwood w/four-panel story starting w/Dagwood walking away from refrigerator w/arms full of food and Blondie asking "What On Earth Are You Doing?" Dagwood replies "I'm Hungry!" Next panel shows him at table saying to Blondie "Just Fixing Myself A Little Sandwich!" Third panel shows family looking at Dagwood saying "Gee, Pop-That Looks Good!" Final scene is Dagwood out cold and Blondie is saying to children "I Knew It Would Happen!" Box shows lt. wear but has held its form and colors very well. VF. 2.5x4.75x6" tin musical toy that looks like a sandwich w/slice of bread on top and bottom and all the fixings along the side including sardines, tomatoes, radishes, olives, hotdogs, lettuce, cheese, etc. There is a hole at each end that when blown through, acts like a kazoo. Hole on top of sandwhich holds kazoo mechanism and shows minor luster loss to silvered tin. All sides remain bright, glossy, unused and N. Mint. From the Hake collection.
