Item Description
7/8” colorful cartoon portrait reading “I’m The Guy That Put The Yell In Yellow Kid.” From c. 1912 series of buttons given with Hassan or Tokio Cigarettes. This example has the “Tokio Cigarette” backpaper. Cartoon is by Thomas Dorgan whose initials “TAD” appear at center right. One of only 5 we’ve seen in over 4 decades. Our last example back in Auction #176 realized $175. This example is N. Mint and displays Mint.
