Item Description
These were originally sold directly from display boxes for 15¢ each (no gum). A very interesting issue by Topps from 1968. Lot of 8 cardboard Flexi-Disc records each 6.75” dia. and an actual one-sided 45-rpm record that can be played on a turntable. From a set of 16 different featuring Motown artists. Fronts feature full color photo for that artist, backs have information about that performer, the song, list of titles in this series. Lot includes Diana Ross & The Supremes #1 Baby Love, #2 (one plus duplicate) Stop In The Name of Love, #3 Where Did Our Love Go?, #15 Come See About Me, #16 My World Is Empty Without You. The other 2 are #6 Marvin Gaye- How Sweet It is and #14 Martha Reeves And The Vandellas- Love Is Like A Heat Wave. Each was originally issued in identical two-sided “Record Sleeve” and 2 of these are included. Sleeves have moderate scattered aging and wear, VG. Two records have tiny inked number by song title. Overall still Exc./N. Mint.
