Item Description
Folded size (as mailed) is 4.5x7”. Front features image of giant Mickey at Rockefeller Center and includes address of “Kay Kamen – Publisher.” Issued for the Christmas season of 1939 and opens to reveal great specialty art and text promoting buying the magazine as Christmas gifts with subscription as low as 75¢ for one year. Includes image of a row of the magazine (at front is January 1940 issue) with many characters coming out of the pages, Mickey stands atop painting the text message and Pinocchio states prompt orders would receive the big holiday issue and greeting card. This version of the Mickey Mouse Magazine ended with the September 1940 issue. Order form is unused. Extreme top edge where envelope flap folds over, there is a 1/8x1” strip of missing paper due to insect but in no way affects the content. Outside has age toning. Fine. From the Tomart Archives and comes with COA signed by Tom Tumbusch and Ted Hake.
