Auction #200 - Part II
Item numbers 1187 through 2776 in auction 200
Item Description
7.75” tall painted plaster figurine with thin waxy coating as produced which gives the piece the appearance of a plaster-filled celluloid figure. Early 1930s and German made with incised mark on back “Gesch 1234.” As with the previous item, Mickey is depicted playing a lute. Great expression on Mickey’s face with mouth open to show his bottom row of teeth, depicted with 5 fingers. Has a hairline around entire piece on lower body/legs but all remains structurally sound. Moderate scattered aging and some tiny scattered dots of missing color. Fine. Rare, the only example we’ve seen in our 44 years.
