Item Description
First is 3” with additional text “The Hub/Downtown And Hilldale.” This was a promotional button for the group’s first concert in Madison, Wis. on July 4, 1966. The Hub was a men’s clothing store and a ticket outlet for the concert. On the night of the concert the show’s promoters had 3 buses running from the Hub store to the concert at the fairgrounds and thus this button was produced for riders. Second button is perhaps a year or two earlier and is a 3.5”. Loss of silver luster on the reverse but the cello front remains clean and displays Mint. A scarce pair.
