Item Description
Each is 7/8” and all have their backpaper promoting the cigarette brand as “Always Refreshing” plus very tiny text naming button maker W&H. Each button names the star and the associated movie studio. Only 2 of the 19 buttons have a small condition issue as specified. Group consists of: Barney Bernard/Vitagraph, Belle Bruce/Vitagraph, Julia Swayne Gordon/Vitagraph, Octavia Handworth/Lubin, Mae Hotely (no studio name), Eulalie Jensen/Vitagraph, Dorothy Kelly/Vitagraph, Ralph Kellard/Pathe, Mary Maurice/Vitagraph (cello a little bit flattened), Walter McGrail/Vitagraph (faint touch of stain on right side), Antonio Moreno/Vitagraph, Harry T. Morey/Vitagraph, James Morrison/Vitagraph, Jack Mulhall/Biograph, Arline Pretty/Vitagraph, E.H. Sothern/Vitagraph, Iva Shepard/Gaumont Co., Norma Talmadge/Triangle, Rose E. Tapley/Vitagraph. All are Exc. to Mint and as a group they display essentially Mint. Buttons are from the 1915-1917 era. Scarce and we believe this is about two-thirds of the full set.
