Item Description
The 1.25” button reads “Supermen Of America” and was the earliest version sent with the club member’s kit in 1940. Even earlier is the 7/8” litho bearing the word “Superman” in non-3-D lettering. This has reverse text “Read Superman/Action Comics Magazine.” This is from 1939 and N. Mint with just the most trivial traces of paint wear. Next from 1942 is this same design revised a little bit to include his “Superman” logo in three dimensional lettering. Reverse of this has text identical to the 1939 button. Couple of tiny pinpoints of wear but an outstanding N. Mint example. The 3 earliest Superman buttons issued by Action Comics.
