The 1.25” button reads “Supermen Of America” and was the earliest version sent with the club member’s kit in 1940. Even earlier is the 7/8” litho bearing the word “Superman” in non-3-D lettering. This has reverse text “Read Superman/Action Comics Magazine.” This is from 1939 and N. Mint with just the most trivial traces of paint wear. Next from 1942 is this same design revised a little bit to include his “Superman” logo in three dimensional lettering. Reverse of this has text identical to the 1939 button.
