Item Description
3.5x5x8.25” tall. c. 1933 by famous French company Faiencerie d’Onnaing (see rare Mickey items by this company #2094-2096). Underside has incised company mark as well as raised word “Loup,” French for “wolf.” Back of the piece has incised “W.Disney.” Great depiction of the Wolf in expressive pose sticking his chest out, behind him is his carpetbag. Coin slot is on back of carpetbag. Has some small 1/8” or so scattered paint flakes and a few small black color touch-ups, really only noticeable upon close inspection. All remains totally bright and glossy. Technically Fine but appearance for display remains Exc. A rare and exceptional Wolf item, the only example we’ve offered in our 44 years. This is the actual example shown in the Official Price Guide to Disney Collectibles by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
