Item Description
9x11.5x3.5” deep box contains set No. 1107 from 1936. Box lid nicely illustrated on all sides. Box has obvious wear/aging including pair of corner splits and 5” split along bottom edge with tape stain/repair. Some other traces of tape staining along edges, .5” puncture mark to lid left of center and 2” puncture mark on one side panel. Lid shows some faint moisture stains and slight fade to red color though mostly on just the right side panel. Box VG. Hand car is 10.5” long tin with composition figures of Donald and Pluto. Pluto has original cardboard ears although one has crease. The rubber grommet on Donald’s neck has been replaced so head now stays perfectly in place as intended. The metal “Dog House” body has some small scattered paint nicks and scratches mostly around area where key is inserted. Comes with a key and toy has been repaired so it works and travels around track when wound. Comes with 8 sections of track. The composition figures show very little wear, just some small scattered paint nicks/rubs but both retain bright and clean appearances. Still a VF example overall of this classic Disney toy. From the Michael J. Stern Collection.
