Item Description
Complete and all original. 9” tall. 1930s. Has movable head. Felt/fabric outfit consists of sombrero with all pom-pom accent balls intact, vest with button on back, serape. A matching Mickey Mouse doll was also produced and both are pictured on pages 61-62 of Disneyana by Munsey. Outfit has typical lt. aging but remains VF overall. Top of Donald’s blue sailor hat had a large chip that has been professionally repaired with perfect color match. Minor .5” hairline to paint where left leg meets body. There are some widely scattered tiny paint flakes/rubs plus trace of paint wear to tip of tail. All is minor and doll has an exceptionally bright and glossy appearance overall. Remains totally structurally sound and these composition dolls are rarely found this nice and without extensive restoration. Still a VF example and this Mexican-themed version is rarely seen.
