From 1936. 1.25” dia. chromed metal case with dial featuring animated Donald whose hands point at the numerals. Between Donald’s legs is second disc featuring 3 images of Mickey Mouse. This was also used on the Mickey Ingersoll watches. Has vintage black leather straps with pair of metal Mickey attachments. Band shows wear from use, VG. One Mickey attachment has moderate trace of luster wear but much luster remains, other attachment has near full luster and both retain much of the black accent paint. One Fine, the other Exc. Case shows trace of wear but most full bright luster remains. Dial has trace of aging with some tiny scattered tan age dots but appearance still remains clean and all color is strong. Watch running and overall still Fine/VF. Among the rarest character timepieces and this is only the third example we’ve offered in our 44 years. Those previous examples sold for $2300 and $4300.
