Item Description
Set of six 2.75” tall ceramic shakers that fit together to form a circle and sit on top matching 5” dia. ceramic base. All are in pale pink with painted story scenes on fronts. This tells the story of Donald portrayed as a dog catcher having trouble finding dogs so he enters a pet shop carrying his net and promptly gets thrown out the front door. Shakers are for “Salt, Pepper, Reserve, Nutmeg, Clove, Cinnamon.” Unmarked but c. late 1950s. Two are missing cork stoppers. One shaker has .25” hairline on one side edge while another has pair of hairlines, .25” and .5” partially visible on front but all of these defects are as fired. Small traces of aging, couple of tiny nicks but set remains bright and glossy overall. VF. Neat design/concept. Scarce.
