Bucky Bug first appeared in the initial Silly Symphonies comic strip of 1932 where he was the first Disney character to debut in comics as opposed to film. However, he would appear on film later that same year with the release of Bugs In Love Silly Symphony short. He was initially drawn by Earl Duvall and later drawn by Al Taliaferro when he appeared in Walt Disney’s Comics And Stories. This unique item was offered through the special auction event at the 1993 Official Disneyana Convention where it sold in excess of $5,000.
