Item Description
12x18.75” pin-up calendar with Baltimore, MD. barbershop imprint at top features one of pin-up artist Art Frahm’s “Ladies In Distress” series of pin-up paintings. In the series, Frahm depicts his models in a state of shock or surprise given that their panties have fallen down around their ankles. Model is shown standing at bus stop with bag of groceries and armful of packages. Complete 1952 calendar pad remains attached. Calendar has been rolled and shows wear to bottom corners of calendar backing. 1” tear along left margin with .5” tear at upper left margin. Fine- overall. Also included is well-made 8.25x13.25” plaster relief plaque showing annoyed-looking curvaceous woman standing at bar with panties around her ankles as bug-eyed bartender stares and word balloon reading “You Said That Last Drink Would Knock My Hat Off!” c. 1960s. Great cartoonish design. Moderate scattered paint touch-ups, all of which blend nicely for an Exc. display.
