Item Description
5.5x5.5” herald for 1931 RKO western starring Richard Dix and Irene Dunne, the first western to win the Best Picture Academy Award. Vertical fold at center. Fine/VF. Also comes with 9x12” 20-page pressbook with original glassine covers which have some tears/chips at margins. Pressbook has usual promotional text including back story of the film along with several facts about the film including aging make-up, trivia and a map. Also included are several bluetone photos of the stars in scenes from the film. Pressbook has vertical crease running at center through entirety. Fine. Last item is 14.25x22” thin cardboard window card. Margin at top has hand-written inked dates and window card has been colored with watercolors with a professionally done looking effect. We assume this to have been done by the theater to enhance appearance for lobby display as card was printed in black, red and yellow only. Scattered aging and corner tip wear. Fine+.
