Item Description
8x10” vintage World War 2 era bw news service photo shows Grable in her most famed pose, looking over her shoulder in a leg-revealing, one-piece swimsuit and heels. Widely regarded as the most famed pin-up photo, it was taken in 1943 by Frank Powolny who considered this the first pin-up. This news service wire photo came from the Detroit News photo archive and as such has copious amounts of notes and stamps on reverse as it was used decade after decade with date stamps ranging from 1956-1993. As such, photo shows wear with all-over creasing though if framed, photo would display Fine.
