10.25x13" w/40 pages. ©1947. Harlich Mfg. Co. and approved by the National Poster Stamp Society.   Embossed cream cover w/string binding. Center illustration designed like stamp w/embossed "Hollywood Screen Stars Stamp Album" text. Numerous facsimile signatures appear at margins.    Spine reads "First Edition." Gold embossing remains vivid w/little signs of wear. Exc. Inside cover has forward w/instructions for "Hollywood Stamp Collectors. Text also includes the stamps/packets numbering system. Total of 45 packets were available to complete the series of 474 star stamps.  Each of the numbered pages has a print design and text, most w/facsimile signatures of the appropriate star. Each page contains 6-16 stamps. Bottom of each page reads "©1947 Hollywood Stamp Stars." Various numbering systems were used for each different series. Everyone and anyone who was involved in the movies or Hollywood appears to be represented here. For expanded text, a list of stars represented and additional photos, see online listing. Series included American Historical Characters, Star Land Series, World Famous Women, Star Quiz, Movie Quiz, Shootin' Stars, Spotlight Series, New Faces In The Hollywood Spotlight/Stars Of Tomorrow, Younger Set, Junior Set, Stage & Screen Series, Hollywood Screen Stars, Poster Series, Symphony Of Stars, Maestros of the Movies, Stars of Note, Star Deck Series, International Series, Academy Award Series representing award winners of 1929-1946. For catalog purposes, we show example stamps from previously offered albums so as to not remove stamp sheets from their original glassine envelopes, keeping all Mint as issued. This is only one of three examples of this stamp album we've offered in unused condition in our 50 years. Previous examples had maroon and lt. blue covers. One of the few books to remain unused and intact, not to mention to have all its components survive 70 years. A movie collector's dream.
